Elephant Trunk is a file store for people who work with AI. Claude, ChatGPT and your other AIs read and write the same files you do, every change is recorded with who made it, and a link opens any file on your phone.

Who it is for
- People with a personal AI assistant — consultants, lawyers, analysts, researchers, founders — who use Claude or ChatGPT every day and want it to work in their files, not just read what they paste in.
- Small companies where most people use AI, such as a 10-person online shop or a PR agency: shared folders that every person and every person's AI can work in, with a record of who changed what.
- Families and couples who keep the lease, the insurance and the trip plans in one place, with private folders where they want them.
What it does
It is the working folder for you and your AIs, not an archive for old photos. At launch it includes:
- One connection for every AI. Add Elephant Trunk once to claude.ai, ChatGPT, Claude Code or another AI that supports MCP connectors. Your AI can then find, read, edit and save files, including PDFs, images and Office documents.
- Every change on record. Each save is a version with its author, the AI that made it and why. Compare versions, restore any of them, or undo everything one AI did since a given time.
- A web app that works on a phone. Upload, folders, search, a markdown editor and previews for PDFs, images and spreadsheets. An AI's link opens the file, already rendered.
- Sharing. Share links with expiry and a QR code. In a team or family plan, everything is shared by default and each person can keep folders "only me".
- An Agents view. One card for each AI you have connected: what it can reach, everything it did, and an undo button.
- Built for AI efficiency. The tools are small and do a lot in one call, so your AI spends fewer tokens and steps on file work. We measure this with a benchmark and will publish the method.
- For developers: a REST API with keys, and a local read-only copy of your files for agents running on your own machine.
Where it stands today: a working prototype runs our own files and AI agents. The product built from it is in private testing, ahead of the paid launch. Features may change before launch.
Your files
- Stored and backed up in Singapore, with two separate providers.
- Your files are read by the AIs you connect, and by nobody else. We never train AI models on your files and never sell them.
- Export everything as a zip at any time. If you delete your account, your files are deleted. The privacy policy gives the timelines.

Prices in US dollars, before tax. Sales tax or VAT is added at checkout where it applies.

Family/Team
A month, for up to six people: US$14 for two, US$22 for four, US$30 for six. One shared store with private folders, 200 GB plus 100 GB for each added member.
Business
From seven people: US$63 for seven, US$90 for ten. Same product as Family/Team, 200 GB per seat, pooled.
AI add-on (beta in the weeks after launch): +US$5 a seat a month, with US$3 of model use per seat included each month. It adds services that run on our side, such as keeping your notes and memory files tidy. It has a hard monthly cap and no overage charges.
Connected AIs, API keys and devices never take a seat. Members added during a billing period are charged pro rata. A member removed mid-period is credited at the next renewal.
How sign-up and the trial work
- Sign up with Google or an emailed code, and pick a plan.
- Pay US$1 for a 7-day trial at checkout, run by our reseller Paddle. You need a card, which keeps abuse out.
- The trial includes everything except that storage is 10 GB and share links show previews only (at most five).
- After 7 days your first month is US$9 (the price less the dollar you paid), then US$10 a month. Checkout and the receipt show the exact dates, and we email you 48 hours before the first charge.
- Cancel any time in Settings with one click. You keep access to the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds: ask within 14 days of your first payment (the US$1 trial, or the first year on a yearly plan) and you get it back in full. Later payments are not refunded, except where the law gives you that right. Details in the refund policy.
The yearly plan has no trial and starts paid. Family/Team: members you invite during the trial are free until the first renewal.
